DESCRIPTION

The Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation Sector Program 2025-2030 establishes Objective 1: "Improve territorial connectivity and accessibility through the construction, modernization, and maintenance of road infrastructure with criteria of social inclusion, sustainability, and efficiency to ensure the mobility of people and goods." To this end, the following initiatives are contemplated:

Continuity works.
Pachuca-Huejutla Highway, Real del Monte-Huasca Junction section, Nichupté Bridge in Quintana Roo, Rizo de Oro Bridge, the San Ignacio-Tayoltita rural road, and the Tepic-Puerto Vallarta Highway: Tepic-Compostela section.

Construction and modernization of 10 priority axes.
They will connect main corridors, improve connectivity, and boost the region's social and economic development:
1. Cuautla - Tlapa
2. Tamazunchale - Huejutla - Pachuca
3. Bavispe - Nuevo Casas Grandes
4. Tierra y Libertad Circuit
5. Toluca - Zihuatanejo
6. Salina Cruz - Zihuatanejo
7. Macuspana - Escárcega
8. Ciudad Valles - Tampico
9. Saltillo - Monclova
10. Guaymas - Esperanza - Yécora - Chihuahua

Construct 21 bridges and interchanges.
Improve traffic conditions in various urban areas.

Continue the construction of 135 small roads in 11 states.

Preserve the infrastructure of the Federal Highway Network through periodic and routine maintenance work.

As part of the regional program derived from the National Development Plan (PND), "General Lázaro Cárdenas del Río Program 2025-2030," the maintenance and upkeep of four federal highways and four rural roads will be carried out.

As part of the Comprehensive Intervention Plan for the Eastern part of the State of Mexico, the SICT will carry out periodic maintenance work on sections of the road network in the area and identify those structures that require urgent intervention.

The development of seven new highway infrastructure projects will be promoted through mixed financing schemes:
1. Córdoba - Orizaba
2. Nuevo Laredo International Bridge 4/5
3. Nueva Italia - Lázaro Cárdenas
4. Tijuana - Ensenada Bypass
5. Las Varas - San Blas (Las Varas - Platanitos section)
6. Sonoyta - Puerto Peñasco, in Sonora
7. Tamaulipas Corridor

The construction and modernization of toll roads and associated freeways will continue.
