SICT: ATTRAPI Institutional Program
The Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), headed by Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, approved the 2026–2030 Institutional Program of the Agency for Trains and Integrated Public Transportation (ATTRAPI).
According to the program, the current administration aims to construct more than 3,000 kilometers of passenger rail lines, strengthen rail freight transportation, and implement urban, suburban, and intercity public transportation services in key cities and metropolitan areas.
