Fitch Ratings affirmed the long- and short-term Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) of Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Públicos, S.N.C. (Banobras) in both foreign and local currency at ‘BBB-‘ and ‘F3′, respectively.
The agency also affirmed Banobras’ National Long-Term Rating at ‘AAA(mex)’ and its National Short-Term Rating at ‘F1+(mex)’.
The assessment is supported by Banobras’ important public policy role, as evidenced by its significant participation in financing projects related to social programs, financial inclusion, and infrastructure development in Mexico.
Fitch Ratings highlighted that the rating assigned to CFE Fibra E, which is equivalent to that of the Federal Government’s debt instruments, is assigned independently and is based exclusively on the strength of its business profile. This profile is characterized by predictable and secure revenue streams, supported by public policies that safeguard the entire structure, regulated tariffs, and long-term contracts.

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), headed by Jesús Esteva Medina, announced that the modernization works on the Salina Cruz–Zihuatanejo highway will benefit 1,947,399 residents and generate 93,615 jobs.
With an investment of MXN 1.613 billion, 10 kilometers of this Priority Corridor, which connects the states of Oaxaca and Guerrero, will be widened to two lanes in 2026.

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) and the Government of Baja California Sur officially launched the construction and modernization works on the Bahía Asunción–Punta Prieta highway in the municipality of Mulegé.

The National Bank of Public Works and Services (Banobras) successfully raised MXN 20 billion through three bond issuances: one new issuance and two reopenings. The transaction is part of the 2026 Annual Financing Plan and aligns with the economic policy and infrastructure investment priorities of the administration of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Secretary of Finance and Public Credit Edgar Amador.
The Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), headed by Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, approved the 2026–2030 Institutional Program of the Agency for Trains and Integrated Public Transportation (ATTRAPI).
According to the program, the current administration aims to construct more than 3,000 kilometers of passenger rail lines, strengthen rail freight transportation, and implement urban, suburban, and intercity public transportation services in key cities and metropolitan areas.
