DESCRIPTION

PODECOBI are articulated productive ecosystems, where the State acts as an investment promoter, a driver of local capacities, and a facilitator of public and logistical services. They are designed to boost economic activity and foster shared prosperity through economic and social impacts.

The Centro Logistico e Industrial de Durango PODECOBI covers an area of 315.416271 hectares, which meets the selection criteria established in the Agreement issuing the Guidelines for Economic Development Poles for Wellbeing, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on May 22, 2025.

The characteristics of the pole and surrounding municipalities are as follows:
I. Macrolocation: Durango, Durango.
II. Communication and connectivity: Located along Highway 40D, as well as the existing railway, and situated on the outskirts of the City of Durango, 780 m from the Cinco de Mayo urban area and 4 km from the Durango International Airport.
III. Population: 914,046 inhabitants in the municipality of Durango and surrounding areas.
IV. Social feasibility: The National Institute of Indigenous Peoples reported that "(...)since no indigenous community owner of the right to consultation has been identified, it is unnecessary to analyze whether the measure in question could generate a possibility of harm, and even less so to determine the merits of a consultation process(...)"
V. Education: Higher and upper secondary education institutions in the PODECOBI and surrounding municipalities.
VI. Territorial: For the development of productive activities in the PODECOBI, the following are productive, priority, and potential vocations:
· Electric mobility;
· Film industry;
· Auto parts;
· Specialized electronics;
· Advanced manufacturing;
· Textile industry;
· Paper industry;
· Automotive industry; and
· Advanced manufacturing.
VII. Industrial feasibility: The property has industrial land use and basic urban infrastructure
VIII. Sustainability: The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources determined that it is environmentally feasible, since the polygon is completely impacted, classified as non-forest land and without vegetation, and therefore does not require authorization for land-use change in forested areas.
IX. Services and infrastructure: It has the basic services and infrastructure required for the development of productive activities, including roadways, electricity, potable water, drainage, and connectivity.
X. Ownership: The properties that make up the PODECOBI area are publicly owned by the state.
