DESCRIPTION

PODECOBI are articulated productive ecosystems, where the State acts as an investment promoter, a driver of local capacities, and a facilitator of public and
logistical services. They are designed to boost economic activity and foster shared prosperity through economic and social impacts.

Capital of Technology and Sustainability PODECOBI covers an area of 217.68 hectares, which meets the selection criteria established in the Agreement issuing the Guidelines for Economic Development Hubs for Well-being, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on May 22, 2025.

On December 15, investments totaling 2,080 million pesos were announced for the southern polygon:
-Motores Limpios (Zacua) – (Automotive/E-mobility): 730 million pesos
-Peisa Foods – (Agrifood): 200 million pesos
-Metal Structures – 300 million pesos
-Grupo Charrito – (Hardware): 600 million pesos

Some characteristics of the development hub and surrounding municipalities are as follows:
Macrolocation: Central-eastern region of the state of Puebla.
ommunication and connectivity: It is located near the Amozoc–Perote highway and the Arco Norte, two key logistics corridors that enable direct connection with the Valley of Mexico, Veracruz, Tlaxcala, and the Puebla metropolitan area.
Population: 245,203 inhabitants in the municipalities of San José Chiapa, Nopalucan, and neighboring areas.
Territorial: For the development of productive activities in the PODECOBI, the following productive vocations are considered priority and potential:
· Advanced manufacturing
· Automotive industry
· Specialized textile industry
· Electronics
· Chemical industry
· Plastics and rubber industry
Industrial feasibility: Land use regulations allow industrial activities.
Services and infrastructure: The area has the basic services and infrastructure necessary for productive activities, including roads, electricity, potable water, sewage, and connectivity.
