CFE STRENGTHENS ITS RENEWABLE ENERGY PORTFOLIO

CFE is expanding its renewable energy portfolio for large consumers through the participation of its subsidiary, CFE Calificados, in La Esperanza Solar, one of Mexico’s largest solar energy projects integrated with an Electricity Storage System (SAEE). Construction of the project began this month in the state of Campeche, on the Yucatán Peninsula.

The project is being developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) through its Growth Markets Fund II and includes 420 MW of photovoltaic solar generation capacity, integrated with an Electricity Storage System (SAEE).
