Financing
In Mexico, there are various sources of long-term financing in different currencies for infrastructure projects. Public investment carried out by the Federal Government through the Federal Expenditure Budget (PEF), as well as the National Infrastructure Fund (FONADIN), development banks, commercial banks, and a wide range of financial vehicles available in the securities market, are particularly noteworthy. Likewise, various specialized funds and Multilateral Development Organizations, such as the Green Climate Fund, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), among others, have supported infrastructure development in Mexico, focusing on sustainable and inclusive projects that benefit society as a whole.
