DESCRIPTION

The Strengthening and Expansion Plan 2025-2030 contemplates the construction of combined cycle power generation plants (CCC), photovoltaic plants (CFV), and internal combustion plants (CCI), to add 22,674 megawatts (MW) of public investment generation capacity and 6,400 megawatts (MW) of private investment, which is expected to be mostly for clean and/or renewable energy.

- 11 Combined Cycle / Photovoltaic Plants. US$5,920 millions / 6,992 MW
CCC González Ortega, CCC San Luis Río Colorado, CF Puerto Peñasco Sequence II, CCC Lerdo, CCC San Luis Potosí, CCC Salamanca, CCC El Sauz II, CCC Manzanillo III, CCC Tuxpan Phase I, CCC Mérida, and CCC Riviera Maya Valladolid.
- 16 Hydroelectric Projects. US$1,533 millions / 536 MW
Santa María, Picachos, Amata, La Villita, Infiernillo, Caracol, Zimapán, Mazatepec, Portezuelos I and II, Encanto, Minas, Chicoasén II, Angostura, Malpaso, Peñitas.
Total Capacity: 7,228 MW

Projects to be tendered in 2025:
1. CCC Francisco Pérez Ríos / 879 MW / US$827 millions
2. CCC Salamanca II / 478 MW / US$537 millions
3. CCC Altamira / 565 MW / US$424 millions
4. CCC Mazatlán / 569 MW / US$529 millions

Other generation projects are the following;
1. CCI Los Cabos / 240 MW / US$272 millions
2. CFV P. Peñasco Sec III / 300 MW / US$270 millions
3. CFV P. Peñasco Sec IV / 280 MW / US$252 millions
