DESCRIPTION

PODECOBI are articulated productive ecosystems, where the State acts as an investment promoter, a driver of local capacities, and a facilitator of public and logistics services. They are designed to boost economic activity and promote shared prosperity through economic and social impacts.

The San Jerónimo PODECOBI covers an area of ​​60.31 hectares, which meets the selection criteria established in the Agreement issuing the Guidelines for Economic Development Poles for Wellbeing, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on May 22, 2025.

The characteristics of the pñe and surrounding municipalities are as follows:
I. Macrolocation: Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
II. Communication and connectivity: border with the United States of America, border with Santa Teresa and New Mexico, 15 km from the railway network, 800 m from the urban area of ​​Ciudad Juárez, and 25.3 km from the airport.
III. Population: 1,557,415 is the total population of the municipalities of Juárez, Ascensión, Ahumada, and Guadalupe.
IV. Social feasibility: The National Institute of Indigenous Peoples reported that there are no certified localities or agrarian centers within the project area.
V. Educational: higher and upper secondary education institutions in the PODECOBI and surrounding municipalities.
VI. Territorial: For the development of productive activities in PODECOBI, the following are priority and potential productive vocations: logistics, industrial innovation center, automotive, electromobility, medical devices, technological services.
VII. Industrial feasibility: The property designated for PODECOBI has industrial land use and basic urban infrastructure in accordance with the 2016 Sustainable Urban Development Plan.
VIII. Sustainability: According to the individual opinion of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, it is environmentally viable. It is not located within Protected Natural Areas or Areas Voluntarily Designated for Conservation, but it has significant ecological connectivity.
IX. Services and infrastructure: The municipality has extensive experience in industrial parks, accounting for 60% of the total statewide. The property is located near the border crossing. The infrastructure available on the property includes gas and electricity.
X. Property: the properties that make up the PODECOBI area are public state property.
