The project involves demarcating federal zones along rivers, streams, and lagoons; rehabilitating and expanding the hydrometric network; transporting and depositing sediments; and constructing flood protection infrastructure for population centers. The goal is to protect from flooding a total of 166,422 hectares and 1,874,244 inhabitants, in the state of Tabasco.
