DESCRIPTION

The project involves the construction of a 16 km long, high-specification A2 highway that will avoid transit through the town of Champotón. This project will be part of the "Puebla-Progreso" trunk road, which in turn connects to the "Peninsular de Yucatán" trunk road, allowing vehicular traffic for automobile and cargo vehicle users from the Central Region to the Southeast Region, specifically the Yucatán Peninsula.

The project will provide a faster and more reliable alternative for long-haul users heading to Campeche, Mérida, and Cancún. It will also benefit residents of the urban area of Champotón, as it will avoid the passage of cargo vehicles on urban roads in Champotón.
