Description:
The 2025-2030 Strengthening and Expansion Plan includes the construction of power generation plants such as combined cycle (CCC), photovoltaic (PV), and internal combustion (IC) plants, among others, to add 32,475 megawatts (MW) of generation capacity, of which 22,376 MW are renewable capacity¹. Of the 32,000 MW that will be added, 11,896 MW (36%) will be developed with CFE‘s own resources, 13,830 MW (42.6%) under a mixed scheme with the CFE and 6,750 MW (20.8%) will be private.

Projects 2024-2030
The “OASIS BCS Phase I” project was designed for the Mulegé Isolated System in Baja California Sur. It integrates photovoltaic generation, battery storage, green hydrogen production via electrolysis, and electricity generation using fuel cells. This innovative model will enable a partial shift away from the use of heavy fuel oil and diesel, reduce pollutant emissions, and significantly lower electricity generation costs in the region.
