Description
The project aims to transform the former Maritime Customs Building into a central hub for visitors and locals, offering cultural and entertainment spaces that provide tourist and commercial services. The following components are considered for this purpose:
A) RESTORATION OF HISTORIC BUILDING AND PORFIRIAN WAREHOUSE – AWARDED
Corrective and preventive maintenance work on Warehouse 4 at the Port of Tampico and on the historic building of the former customs house, aimed at the structural, functional, and operational preservation of both properties.

B) BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND ATTRACTIONS – PREINVESTMENT
Restoration and conversion according to the following phases:

- Interactive and Immersive Entertainment Zone
- Cafes and Restaurants
- Main Event and Conference Hall

- Corresponding area of the boardwalk
- Event space
- Public access plaza (esplanade)

The tourist boardwalk includes: walkways, benches, green areas, outdoor dining areas and a tourist pier
Participation and investment in the phases:
- Selection process: Public tender
- Type of contract: Partial transfer of rights and obligations in accordance with the Ports Law and its Regulations
- Investment: To be borne by the transferee
- Source of payment to the private entity: Project revenues
- Fee: Transferee’s fee to ASIPONA with incentive programs (lower fee for the first few years, with subsequent increases based on revenues)
