Progress in Water Infrastructure in Acapulco and Highway Infrastructure in Guerrero
The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) presented progress on the highway infrastructure program in the state of Guerrero, specifically on the Cuautla–Tlapa and Salina Cruz–Zihuatanejo highways, as well as an investment of 1.88 billion MXN under the Guerrero Highway Program for the rehabilitation and construction of roads and highway bridges.
For its part, the National Water Commission (CONAGUA) reported progress on the comprehensive plan to renew Acapulco’s water infrastructure, which faces high vulnerability to climatic and seismic events; therefore, a “full renovation” of the system has been proposed.
