CFE STRENGTHENS ITS RENEWABLE ENERGY PORTFOLIO

CFE is expanding its renewable energy portfolio for large consumers through the participation of its subsidiary, CFE Calificados, in La Esperanza Solar, one of Mexico’s largest solar energy projects integrated with an Electricity Storage System (SAEE). Construction of the project began this month in the state of Campeche, on the Yucatán Peninsula.

The project is being developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) through its Growth Markets Fund II and includes 420 MW of photovoltaic solar generation capacity, integrated with an Electricity Storage System (SAEE).

SICT to Build 43 Early Childhood Education and Care Centers

  • They will be located in 40 municipalities across 17 states and will have the capacity to serve 6,160 children.
  • The centers will meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and quality.

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), in coordination with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), will build 43 Early Childhood Education and Care Centers (CECI) to serve 6,160 children between the ages of 0 and 4.

Mexico’s Third-Largest Drinking Water Treatment Plant

Agua Saludable para La Laguna includes Mexico’s third-largest drinking water treatment plant, helping ensure high-quality water for the region.

One of the project’s components is a drinking water treatment plant with a capacity to treat 6.34 cubic meters of water per second (m³/s), through 10 modules, each with a capacity of 0.634 m³/s.

The strategic Agua Saludable para La Laguna project, promoted by the Government of the Fourth Transformation and developed by the National Water Commission (CONAGUA), includes Mexico’s third-largest drinking water treatment plant. The facility will help ensure high-quality water and protect the health of residents in nine municipalities across the states of Coahuila and Durango.
