Interoceanic Corridor: Inauguration of the First Section of Line K
The Ministry of the Navy, through the Interoceanic Corridor, reported the inauguration of the First Section of Line K “Istmo-Soconusco” of the railway, which connects Ciudad Ixtepec, Oaxaca with Tonalá, Chiapas.
The project consisted of the comprehensive rehabilitation of 175 kilometers of railway track; the construction and improvement of 212 drainage structures; the renovation of 162 bridges; and the upgrading of seven railway stations.
