CONSTRUCTION OF THE GULF OF MEXICO TRAIN BEGINS
The Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT), began construction of the Arroyo El Sauz–Nuevo Laredo passenger rail section of the Gulf of Mexico Train, as part of the “Railway Workers’ Day” celebration.
This section, which marks the start of construction, is part of the Saltillo–Nuevo Laredo route, with a total length of 136.48 kilometers. It will include three stations—Nuevo Laredo, Anáhuac, and Lampazos—along with 52 railway bridges, 108 drainage works, and 42 vehicle crossings.
