DESCRIPTION

Detailed information and documentation regarding the tender can be viewed via the link to Compras MX, available below in the "More Information" section.

The technical scope covers the design, supply, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of a dedicated 5G Standalone (5G SA) network for passenger rail services along the Mexico City–Querétaro–Irapuato and Saltillo–Nuevo Laredo sections, utilizing the 1,900 MHz FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) band.

The railway 5G SA network will support the current operation of the ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) Level 1 system and will be designed to allow—without structural redesign—a future evolution to ERTMS Level 2, aligned with FRMCS (Future Railway Mobile Communication System) functional principles as per 3GPP TS 22.289 or an equivalent internationally recognized standard.

The transition process must be software-based; the hardware must possess the necessary capabilities for RBC (Radio Block Centre) configuration, train-to-ground communication software, and location balise groups.

The infrastructure will be installed within the railway right-of-way or on auxiliary sites authorized by ATTRAPI, including: railway stations and technical buildings; inter-station sections, viaducts, tunnels, and critical points; control buildings, workshops and depots, inspection and servicing areas, substations, and maintenance bases.
