DESCRIPTION

Measure the variables of surface water, groundwater and water quality with the appropriate frequency, ensuring continuity where it is already measured and increasing coverage in priority sites in the country, in order to efficiently manage and preserve the national waters.

Automatic surface water measurement points: 1,968
Manual groundwater measurement points: 21,885
Automatic groundwater measurement points: 1,000
Manual water quality measurement points: 5,752
Automatic water quality measurement points: 56
Command and control center: 1

The infrastructure for measuring surface water consists of automatic equipment. Automatic stations are contemplated for the measurement of climatological variables, levels and flows in the main basins, rivers and dams of the country.

The measurement infrastructure considers:
- Manual measurement of a piezometric monitoring network that consists of carrying out measurements of the depth and elevation of the groundwater level periodically in pilot wells that make up the networks, in order to obtain the evolution of groundwater levels over time.
- Automatic probes are proposed for the continuous measurement and recording of variations in the level of groundwater (piezometric level) inside a well, which is abandoned and without pumping equipment. The automatic probe is designed to measure and record two parameters: the ground water temperature and the hydraulic load (atmospheric pressure plus water stress) at the installation depth.
- Instant manual measurement, which considers sampling, determination of field parameters and laboratory analysis. The average number of analytical determinations is approximately 40 and can reach more than 250 in the case of Special Studies.
- Automatic measurement with online sensors. Through this type of measurement it is possible to obtain results immediately, which allow the implementation of effective actions.

REMARKS

The project will not be included in the published projects, while the sponsor redefine the possible resumption of the initiative. All inclusions, changes and/or cancellations of projects in Mexico Projects Hub are executed by Banobras exclusively according to official information and/or instructions delivered by the sponsor entities.

The generation of information on surface water, groundwater and water quality is considered, under the concept of "Data Collection Points" (POD), which includes the necessary hardware and software, as well as the operation and maintenance of each POD.
