The project consists in the extraction of sand from an environmentally authorized marine bank with self-propelled dredges, for subsequent dumping in the coastal zone of Cozumel. The objective is to create sufficient beach widths to preserve the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT) and protect the existing infrastructure.

Beach recovery project along 750 meters of Cozumel coastal. The project consist on sand nourishment to widen the beach between 20 and 30 meters. The estimated sand volume to be place is 270,711 m3. The project also includes the construction of three structures, two in an "L" curved form and another in a "Y" form.
