Among its aims is to increase the coverage and supply of quality telecommunications services.

The government will contribute the rights and obligations of exploitation of a pair of fiber optic wires which TELECOMM has, the rights and obligations of the TELECOMM-CFE3 contracts, maintenance, access to hotels and rights of way, in the terms that are established in the APP contract.

The winning contestant will contribute:

2.- All the studies, analysis, goods (movable and immovable), rights, infrastructure, equipment and other material, human or any other elements that are required for the Project.

REMARKS

TELECOMM is a federal government agency directly related to the “Ministry of Communications and Transportation” of Mexico (SCT.

In addition to illuminating the dark fiber optic and operating the network, the Backbone Network project seeks the deployment of additional mileage of dark fiber optic, and increase of the number of spots of presence, thus a larger percentage of the population will be located at a reasonable distance from a presence spot of different fiber optic operators.
