On December 1st, 2018, Mexico had a federal government administration change. As a consequence, all those projects that are in the pre-investment stage are subject to the confirmation of the new authorities.

The project consists of the preparation of the executive project, construction, operation and maintenance of 21 waste water treatment plants (WWTP) with variable capacities and processes, to be defined by the developer, according to the contributing watershed areas and possible reuse, whose discharges will be treated by each plant.

Clean up the basins of the 9 eastern rivers of the Texcoco Lake, receiving waste waters from municipal discharges that use such them as receiving bodies.

The interconnection between the waste water collectors and each plant and the issuer up to the point of delivery will be built and projected for each case.

The quality requirement of the treated effluent from each of the WWTPs must be updated as of the works execution date of NOM-001-SEMARNAT-1996, which establishes the maximum permissible limits of pollutants in waste water discharges in waters and national assets, depending on water use.
